This summer cottage is designed for a couple from Toronto who plan to spend extended stays at the lake during the summer months. The design responds closely to the surrounding landscape, with the intent that the cottage blends into its natural setting. Natural materials and simple, organic lines are used throughout the architecture, reflecting the character of the site. The horizontal lines of the cabin follow the changing forms of the landscape, blending and reinforcing a strong connection between the building and its natural surroundings.
