This project begins as a winter activation initiative for the City of Flin Flon and evolves into a broader vision for a cold-season tourist destination that supports regional economic growth. The Snow Lodge is a unique seasonal hotel constructed from snow and ice, creating an immersive winter experience for visitors. The project is projected to create up to 15 full-time positions annually for construction and management, along with up to 30 part-time roles during the winter season, a time when tourism is typically lower. The Flin Flon Snow Lodge also supports local artists and arts organizations, including music, theatre, and fine arts groups, by providing a well-attended venue where artistic work can be showcased and experienced during the winter.
